With the hockey lock-out now settled we can all get back to enjoying the game. Should we? If you love the game, the skill of the players and all the office ice drama then “yes”. Canadians can’t help themselves.
I’m one of the same. Yet, I can’t help but feel like punching back somehow. Like you would punch your kid brother in the arm for doing something stupid. Know what I mean?
Putting this out there – don’t watch the first period. Get ready for the first game back of your favourite team but do not watch the first period. This will drive the viewing numbers down.
If you’re one of the fortunate to have tickets – do not sit in your seat for the first period. Watch the game from the causeways or restaurants or televisions, not in your seat.
Punitive measures but it might get your point across. I do not know what your point is – not even sure what my ‘beef’ is either, but I sure as hell want those who’ve kept hockey from happening that “that was stupid – don’t do it again!”.
